RJ Podeschi has served Millikin University since 2001. He currently serves as Dean of the Tabor School of Business and Associate Professor of Information Systems. RJ leads a team of dedicated faculty and professionals who are committed to building the next set of business leaders. RJ鈥檚 teaching specialties include courses in data analytics and a student-run IT consulting venture, with research interests in computing education pedagogy and curriculum. RJ serves as treasurer and is on the board of directors for Information Systems and Computing Academic Professionals (ISCAP).
Prior to his full-time teaching appointment in 2012, RJ served his alma mater (Millikin Class of 2002, MBA Class of 2004) for 11 years in a variety of IT developer, administrative, and leadership roles, primarily focused on enterprise systems and IT infrastructure. He is also the founder and previous co-owner of an IT consulting firm, which has fueled his passion for starting and leading MU Performance Consulting, a student-run IT consulting venture.
RJ is currently a doctoral student at Middle Georgia State University, holds a Master鈥檚 of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Illinois - Springfield, and an MBA as well as a Bachelor鈥檚 in Management Information Systems from Millikin. RJ has served as a director at Staley Credit Union for 18 years and is chair of the finance committee at Sharon United Methodist Church in Decatur. In what little free time is left, RJ enjoys playing tennis, traveling when able, running, and cooking.
